I’ve taken 11 Viking cruises now and have written extended reviews of eight of those cruises. So, if you want ideas about your next cruise, please check out the index to those articles here. I’ve also written about an extra discount that we found for Viking Cruises after taking maybe 5 cruises before stumbling on it.

If you want a vacation of a lifetime, then a cruise down the Nile is hard to beat. From the magical pyramids and museums of Cairo to the temples by the river further south in Luxor and Aswan, Egypt has such a wealth of experiences. And a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings? Beautiful.

I’ve written illustrated articles would also be great for someone considering a similar Nile cruise in Egypt and also for travelers who have been on a cruise and want something to bring back those memories or show their friends. The introductory one about the Egypt Nile cruise can be found here and the start of the exploration of Jordan is available here.

But then I thought it would be great to make use of all that effort to create a much more user-friendly eBook that you can browse on your iPad, phone or tablet. To download the digital books, just click the appropriate button below:

Here from Facebook?

If you clicked a link in Facebook to arrive here, there is a good chance that they will block the download of these books. If nothing happens or you see an error, just copy the address (URL) of this page and paste it into a regular browser. All will work then!

How to Read your eBook

iPhone and iPad

You will be asked where to save the file – choose Files. Then it should ask if you want to open the file and in the set of options, choose Books. It should then be saved in your library and will be available to read in Books.

Windows 10 and 11

Your files should be in your download folder. Windows doesn’t have a native eBook reader, but the free Aquile reader in the Microsoft store is great.

Android Phones

Android seems to be a bit complex. You should install the Aldiko Book Reader from the Store. When you have downloaded the ePub file using the buttons above, locate the downloaded file in the downloads folder, highlight it and use the “open with” option. If you choose Aldiko as the App, then it will work. Or you could look for the PDF below!

Nothing seems to work?

I also have a PDF version of the Nile Book that should open for every type of device. You can download that via this button
